Valley with Tulips P01011-P00125 paying attention to realism andMuch of the inspiration for artist Sandra Humphries's work comes from plein air sketching; after setting up an easel outside and sketching the landscape, she returns to the studio and creates a piece using color, shape, and design to emphasize her feelings of the moment.
