Vecchie Terre Di Montefili Anfiteatro IGT 2016 sidewoodjunesale the other half in wood—mainlyThis single vineyard Sangiovese from the oldest vines represents the heart and soul of Montefili. The palate is intense with a cascade of fruits: dried cherry, ripe nectarine, orange peel, and fig. Notes of cinnamon, ginger, and smoke adorn an important backbone. Velvety, elegant, and unique with a very long, meditative finish.
