Domaine Faiveley, Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Damodes, 2010 NV [2022] Plantes and Combottes on east-facingThe most Vosne like wine in Faiveley's Nuits Saint Georges lineup, and a mature bottle from one of red Burgundy's great modern vintages. The domaine's 0. 81 hectare parcel sits at the northern edge of Les Damodes, right where the commune runs into Vosne Romanee, high on the slope on shallow, compact sandy clay a cooler spot that trades the usual Nuits muscle for perfume and energy. It was aged sixteen months in French oak, a little under half of it
