This wine drinks well now but will improve significantly with twelve months in bottle before aging gracefully for well over ten years
It also offers fantastic salty minerality (very Bannockburn) and some subtle skin contact complexity
The short and early vintage with cold nights and warm days produced pristine Riesling grapes and rich varietal flavours in the wines

Fratelli Alessandria Barolo 'Gramolere' 2020 Size::1 Bottle This wine drinks well nowThe small village of Verduno is the home of Pelaverga, but less than a dozen local producers have stayed true to Verdunos special grape. Its this sun bleached hamlet, kissed by the breezes coming off the river Tanaro, that the Alessandria family calls home. The Alessandria "brothers" have been farming grapes and making Barolo in the ancient village of Verduno since the 1800's. Indeed they and some of their neighbors were among the very first to bottle
