This historic family estate in the town of Barolo farms traditionally and lets the site speak: Sarmassa's sun exposed, structured terroir yields a dense, grippy Nebbiolo. The 2019 vintage was warm but balanced, giving generous, ripe wines with the tannic backbone Barolo demands. Decant it now or, better, tuck it away for several years. A
