Pair of Early Depression-Era Carbide Lamps — c.1930s moose Topic: GovernmentA rare matched pair of early carbide miners lamps, produced during the Depression era and beautifully preserved in their original glass and galvanised steel frames. Each lamp features its conical wire mesh carbide basket, intact ventilation ports, and embossed measurement marks on the glass reservoir. These lamps were used with carbide and water to create acetylene gas a bright, reliable flame for mines, workshops and farms long before electrification
